Republic Act No. 8544 - An Act regulating the
practice of the Merchant Marine Profession in the Philippines.
Republic Act No. 8545 - An Act amending Republic
Act No. 6728, otherwise known as "An Act Providing Government Assistance
to Students and Teachers in Private Education and Appropriating Funds Therefor",
establishing a fund for the purpose of subsidizing salaries of private
school teachers, and appropriating funds therefor.
Republic Act No. 8550 - An Act providing for
the development, management and conservation of the fisheries and aquatic

Republic Act No. 8551 - An Act providing for
the reform and reorganization of the Philippine National Police and for

Republic Act No. 8552 - An Act establishing the

Republic Act No. 8553 - An Act amending Section
41(b) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991.
Republic Act No. 8555 - An Act amending Republic
Act No. 8182, otherwise known as the Official Development Assistance Act
of 1996.
Republic Act No. 8557 - An Act establishing the
Philippine Judicial Academy, defining its powers and functions, appropriating
funds therefor, and for other purposes.
Republic Act No. 8558 - An Act amending Article
287 of Presidential Decree No. 442, as amended, otherwise known as the
Labor Code of the Philippines by reducing the retirement age of underground
mine workers from sixty (60) to fifty (50).

Republic Act No. 8714 - An Act changing the name
of the Manila South Road, Zapote-Alabang Section in the City of Muntinlupa
and City of Las Pinas, Metro Manila to Congressman Felimon C. Aguilar Avenue
in honor of the late congressman.
Republic Act No. 8718 - An Act granting Baycomms
Broadcasting Corporation, a franchise to construct, install, establish,
operate and maintain radio and television stations in the Philippines.
Republic Act No. 8719 - An Act granting TRGV
Jafgo Corporation, a franchise to construct, establish, install, maintain
and operate a local exchange network in the Municipality of San Joaquin,
Province of Iloilo.
Republic Act No. 8720 - An Act granting the Eastern
Misamis Oriental Telephone Cooperative [Emortelco] a franchise to construct,
establish, install, maintain and operate a local exchange network in the
Cities of Cagayan de Oro and Gingoog, and Municipalities of Magsaysay,
Talisayan, Balingoan, Medina, Kinogitan, Sugbongcogon, Binuangan, Salay,
Lagonglong and Balingasag, Province of Misamis Oriental.
Republic Act No. 8721 - An Act granting the Multi-Line
Construction International, Inc., a franchise to construct, establish,
install, maintain and operate local exchange network in the Philippines.
